Chief Executive Officer
John brings over 20 years of operational excellence in providing strategic leadership to sales, marketing, product management and customer support teams. Prior to joining RainKing, he worked for CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP), the leading provider of commercial real estate information, analytics and online marketplaces in the United States, United Kingdom, and France. As an Executive Officer of CoStar, John held numerous senior positions during his 19-year tenure. His contributions were instrumental in CoStar’s revenue growth from $2 million in 1995 to nearly $600 million in 2014, with a market capitalization of more than $5 billion. John has lived in the Washington D.C. metro area for over 17 years.
Chief Revenue Officer
With RainKing since 2007, Mike was instrumental in RainKing’s launch and impressive year-over-year growth. He has 20 years of sales and sales leadership experience. Prior to being appointed CRO, Mike was RainKing’s VP of New Business Sales where he directed the company’s Enterprise Sales expansion and introduced the Inside Sales and Lead Generation teams. Mike graduated from Coastal Carolina University and, when not at work, enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters.
Chief Financial Officer
Nathan brings over 15 years of experience in finance, strategy and leadership roles. Prior to joining RainKing, he was the VP of Finance and Administration for Brivo, overseeing finance, accounting, management information systems and human resources for the company. Prior to joining Brivo, Nathan worked in Corporate Strategy at Intelsat and as a Manager in PwC’s Advisory practice. He also served as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School.
Chief Technology Officer
Prior to RainKing, Dennis was SVP and Chief Technology Officer at CQ Roll Call, a large division of The Economist. He has over 20 years of technology leadership experience ranging from early stage startups, including JumpTap, to Fortune 100 companies, including IBM. Dennis also held "senior level" positions at Monster Worldwide. Dennis has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts and completed the Duke Executive Leadership program. Dennis is a member of the Washington CTO Roundtable.
Chief Content Officer
Jenny brings over 20 years of executive level experience in developing research infrastructure, technology, data collection processes and quality control systems on a global scale. Previously, she served as Senior Vice President of Research at CoStar Group, the commercial real estate industry’s leading information provider, where she led a 1,000-person+ organization with research centers across the globe. Ms. Kitchen established CoStar’s first field research operations and led the national and international expansion of the information provider’s research operations. During her tenure, Jenny developed integrated processes to collect and verify data from 10,000 interviews each day, resulting in over 5 million daily data changes. Ms. Kitchen holds a patent for developing data collection methodologies utilizing aerial images and map features.
Jason Krantz is the founder and CEO of Definitive Healthcare, the leading provider of integrated data on hospitals, physicians and other healthcare providers. Previously, Jason helped found and build other information-based companies including Infinata, Energy Acuity, Financial Information Group, and Xtelligent Media. Jason was previously a consultant with McKinsey & Company, earned an MBA at Harvard Business School and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in finance from Boston College.
SilentBoost Consulting Group
Jim is the founder and CEO of SilentBoost Consulting Group, a management consulting practice in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The firm specializes in helping high-growth SaaS companies drive operational process improvements. As a 20+ year veteran in the software space, Jim brings expertise across all facets of running a fast-growth technology company. Jim spent the bulk of his career with Milwaukee-based Zywave, Inc., the leading provider of front-office software solutions for insurance brokers. Jim co-founded Zywave in the mid-1990s and as president helped drive the business to nearly $100 million in recurring revenue—exiting the business in 2013 via a successful sale of the company. In addition to his work with RainKing, Jim actively serves on the board of directors of Net Health and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Brian spent 18 years at CoStar Group, a leading provider of commercial real estate information, analytics and online marketplaces. During his time at CoStar, he held several senior financial and operational roles, including Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Research Operations, the company’s largest operating area. He was involved in every aspect of building CoStar from a small, 50-person, $14 million valuation startup, to $7 billion valuation public company with approximately 3,000 employees globally. Brian has 20+ years of experience in senior-level financial and operational roles in both small, private and large, public companies. He received a Bachelor of Science from University of New York at Buffalo, with a dual degree in accounting and finance.
Michael joined Spectrum Equity in 2009 and is a Principal. His areas of investment focus include software, information services, and Internet. Prior to joining Spectrum, Michael worked at Tudor Investment Corporation's private equity arm. Michael graduated cum laude from Bowdoin College and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Chris joined Spectrum Equity in 2001 and is a Managing Director. His areas of investment focus include information services, software, and financial technology. Prior to joining Spectrum, Chris worked at TA Associates and Monitor Clipper. He serves as a Trustee of The Roxbury Latin School. Chris holds an Advanced Business, cum laude, from Princeton University.
Jeff joined Spectrum Equity in 2007 and is a Principal. His areas of investment focus include software, information services and healthcare IT. Prior to joining Spectrum, Jeff worked at Thoma Cressey Equity Partners and Goldman Sachs. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University and was a member of the varsity soccer team.
