How is RainKing Sold?

RainKing is an on-demand application and is sold on an annual subscription basis. Our first 2 products, the RainKing 500 and soon to be completed RainKing 1000, provide a complete map and database of the I.T. organizations of the 1,000 largest US companies based on revenue. Additional products include profiles of the RainKing 1500, and 2000 databases, which include the next largest public and private companies and foreign subsidiaries with significant IT operations in the US.

Leadership and Pedigree

RainKing is led by a team of experienced and successful information and software executives. RainKing was founded by Bill Kapner, who previously founded and ran bigdough, a company built around the largest and most successful sales database and marketing platform for Wall Street capital markets. Bigdough was twice named to the INC 500 list of fastest growing companies in the USA — ranking #78 in 2002 AND #57 in 2003. The company was acquired in late 2004 by the private equity firm of Veronis Suhler Stevenson. John Renehan, a highly seasoned software company executive is our CFO and head of operations. He was a senior executive for many years at Group 1 Software. Jon Brickman, who built an award-winning sales and service operation at bigdough, runs sales and service. This management team has a long and successful record of building great, customer-centric companies and enriching shareholders.

Data Center

RainKing's servers are located in one of the Washington DC-area's largest and most secure data centers — Equinix. Our server farm consists of multiple load-balanced servers and incorporates redundant high speed gigabit connections directly to OC-48 Internet backbones to elminate Website downtime.
